The telegraphic despatch to the Secretary of State for the Colonies regarding the proclamation allowing the Asiatic Bank to issue currency was sent.
In response to the despatch, it was desired that the Proclamation should be rescinded.
A duplicate of the despatch was sent a few days after the preceding one.
Copy of the foregoing despatch was sent to the Governor, desiring him, in the event of his not having duly published the Proclamation, to postpone doing so for six months from the date.
Lt. Governor was authorized to act according to the instructions.
